While the world has been dealing with COVID-19 these past several weeks, and rightly so, spring has quietly arrived here.
For many of you, it’ll be a few weeks before you see signs of spring in your area, so let me give you a little preview of what you can look forward to.
And while the beauty of a few flowers can’t heal a virus, it can
· Encourage someone who’s down
· Comfort someone who is afraid
· Inspire us to look for more beauty
· Give us a new perspective
· Pull us out of our circumstances
· Remind us that in this time of rapid change and unknowns, we can depend on the slow, expected change of the seasons.
Even though your inbox and social media accounts are likely full of virus-related information, I’m going to continue to share beauty here and on Facebook and Instagram. That doesn’t mean I don’t care about or am ignoring the virus; it means that I want to offer you something more to look at and think about. And perhaps it will help you in some of the ways I’ve listed above.
I also want to invite you to email prayer requests to me if you would like for me to pray for you. I will keep them confidential.
In addition, if you don’t know God—the One who created beauty and the One who brings me comfort in hard times—feel free to email me if you would like to know more.
In the meantime, take good care of yourselves and stay safe.
