“Aren't the clouds beautiful? They look like big balls of cotton... I could just lie here all day, and watch them drift by"― Charles M. Schulz, The Complete Peanuts, Vol 5: 1959-1960
I am often mesmerized by the sky. I don’t usually lie in the grass and watch the clouds drift by, like the Peanuts gang from the quote above, but I often stop whatever I’m doing and take a photo of whatever is going on in the sky.
Today I thought I’d share a few favorites.

Bright white decorates bright blue on an early spring afternoon.
Big sky, tiny clouds.
“The sky is the daily bread of the eyes.”— Ralph Waldo Emerson
This menacing cloud spilled only a few drops before blowing over the mountain.
These clouds seem to be rolling along just above the grass. I love the layers of color and texture in this photo.
Moody morning.
Shortly before sunset, the clouds arrange themselves above a line, with the mountains of North Georgia below.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” Psalm 19:1
A wildly, windy day sent countless clouds like these racing across the sky.
“The air moves like a river and carries the clouds with it, just as running water carries all the things that float upon it.” ― Leonardo da Vinci
The early morning sun paints these puffs in pastels.
