Swaths of color stretch
across a vast canvas of air.
A stunning show,
a color crescendo
performed in silence,
far above an audience
who may—
or may not—
notice.
On January 17th, the sunrise in our area was so spectacular that many people took notice. In fact, four of us took photos at various points during the show and posted them on social media.
My husband, Mart, took the second photo from his office high above the traffic on the busy street below.
My friend Lorri took this photo at home. Her caption read: “Heaven and earth are full of your glory.” (Amen!)
Toward the end, my friend Lorelei caught the sky’s reflection in the lake below: two for the price of one.
Four perspectives, one sunrise. One long moment of brilliant beauty to usher in a brand new day.
Have you noticed any sunrises or sunsets lately? Which do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below.
