November was a busy month around here. If you follow me or Glimsen on Facebook or if you’re a Glimsen subscriber, you may have seen the news about my new book, Glimmers of Hope. Its publication is the realization of a long-held dream of mine. To celebrate the book launch, early in November we had an author event with two other writer friends of mine and a group of our family and friends. What a special day that was for me.
The following week, Mart and I (and our dog, Owen) spent a few days in the mountains to celebrate Mart’s birthday.
The week after that, we spent a few days with friends in Alabama—starting with one couple at a beach house near Gulf Shores. After that, we drove a short distance to have lunch with other friends in a charming small town near the bay. Then, we drove a little further to visit another couple at their house on the bay.
Okay, are we lucky or what?
Actually, we’re blessed to have all of these friends for many reasons, regardless of where they live. They’ve invited us to come visit before, so we took them up on it last year. And we hope they keep on asking…
On this visit at Martha and Paul’s house, we were treated to a spectacular show in the sky over the water, a sunset that seemed to go on and on, as evidenced by all the photos we took. I’m going to share just a few of them below.
May you enjoy these glimpses of beauty as much as we did.
